Presidential Election in a Foreign Country
In the States, they had a big election yesterday. I was watching and following the news with hoping that Kerry defeats Bush. The election is not for either Japan or Canada. It is for people who live in the States and belong to the States. Why do we care about a president of a foreign country very much? Even if I were still living in Japan, I would have watched the news about the election. The United States of America is only one country in the world that can be a powerful leader of any power. People on this planet all know it. This is why we care about their election. Personally, the result of the election wasn't favourable to me. In a democratic country, that was what majority people in the States chose. Better or worse, we will see if it will be peaceful or bloody the next four years. No one wants a bloody, iron-smell world. I personally think that a war is never going to be a solution at any time of human history. Building and Destroying.
