Looking for a pair of Boots/shoes for Winter

The snow, that was fallen last week, still remains on the ground. It just looks ice now. It was Tuesday night when it snowed. My friend from Tokyo was still here in Calgary. I have been planning to get a pair for winter since then. It's been a week. I went to the stores like MEC and another outdoor equipment store in downtown, but I couldn't find a pair I wanted. Some are too expensive and others are just not right even for coldness of the winter. I always find MEC is somewhat overpriced on some stuff they have.

Today, I went to the mall that is located south end of the city. Every time I go to the mall, I can't find anything I want. I found a good deal for shoes. It was really a good deal! but my size was all sold out. It's so sad. I ended up buying nothing again. I decided not to go to the mall anymore. So, now I have only 2 choices of the mall where I can access conveniently by Ctrain. One is the famous Chinook Centre and the other is TD Square in downtown.

I should ask M to take me to other malls.

There are less choices than Toronto because I could have been to Dufferin, Yorkdale, Fairview, Eaton Centre, and even Scarborough Town Centre by TTC! if I can't find anything downtown.

Ah well, I just have to look for something more that is aesthetically and economically decent for my taste.
