8 Months in Harperville

The richer people become, the less enthusiastic they follow politics.

There are two gay men I have met in Cowtown. They have well-pay jobs and no complaints about the life they are having. They are winners and losers in this society. They are rich and busy of thinking about plans for their vacation. Yes, usual low-income people like me envy them very much. The saddest thing though, is that they ignore or don't appreciate the political system we have. They are in their late 20s. They said that they wouldn't vote.

Maintaining a country's political system needs constant efforts from its citizen. Thanks for advocators, activists, and politicians, this is why it is relatively easy for gay people to make a life in this country. It is frustrating and takes a lot of time to change or create things. However, just to remember, building and creating are far more difficult and complicated than destroy what we have. One more thing to remember for those who didn't use the right to vote, there is no right to complain in a democratic country if he/she doesn't go to vote.

People in this country are still participate with its elections better than people in my home, though.

Any fag living in Calgary who fails to vote needs smacked (although they might like that!).
