This morning, I missed a 7:39 bus, so I decided to walk to the closest station. It was still dark, but the sun seems to be rising earlier than before. It was good to know that day light was getting longer and longer. It was a bit chilly, but we haven't had a brutal Canadian winter day in this city yet.
On my way to the station, I took an alley (unpaved road behind houses usually for garbage collectors), a path in the park, and went through another residential area. I didn't see anything about the election until I saw a house with a red banner stuck onto its front yard. It was the first time to see a red thing in the neighbourhood I live in and in this city. At the moment, I thought that mass media really killed minorities in a area or a region.
After class, I went to the gym at my school. I was doing weights and this guy with a light blue t-shirt with a big blue logo passed by running with his friend. At the moment, I thought "oh...." (Actually I thought of many things about the guy who was wearing the t-shirt, but it is from my personal values and beliefs too much, so I won't mention anything here. Please ask me directly if you want to know what I really felt) Okay, yes, that is one of the characteristics of this city.
When I was on the train to go home, a teenager had an orange button on his backpack. I said "yes!" in my mind, but the teenager looked that he didn't have any policies... I wondered if he has ever thought about anything in politics.
I can't vote in this country yet... If I could have though, I would have had such a hard time to choose a candidate to vote for in this election.
I hope Canada will choose something long term lasting policies, not an eye-catching, attractive tax cut on receipts after we purchase something.
