TTC Streetcars | TTC 路面電車

Like I planned subway lines, I planned LRT lines for TTC because I don't hear anything about it from City of Toronto.

5 years and a half has laready passed since entering a new century. I have been in Toronto since 1998. Believe it or not, TTC hasn't replaced or doesn't have any possible plans to replace its streetcars. The streetcars are old. I mean, it is old. The streetcars are unfriendly to seniors, children, people on the wheelchairs, or people with special needs. I don't know why Toronto city councilors don't talk about it. As far as I know, I assume that the city councilors are satisfied with those WheelTrans cars?? Something is wrong here and my 8-year-and-counting-years of wondering hasn't ended yet.

Maybe in the next century, we will see low-floor LRT cars around the city in Toronto.

僕は暇人なんだと思う。地図を広げたり街を何気に歩いている時にふと「こんなんだったらいいのに」と考え始めてしまう事がある。以前のトロント架空地下鉄マップのようにまたシムシティをやるように勝手に地図をこしらえた。今回のはLRT。路面電車網が発達しているトロントで今までなんで話にでないのか不思議でしょうがない。財政が問題と言っているわりには、トロント市の努力が見えないのが市民の一人として悲しくてしようがない。それに地下鉄を掘るより安く済むだろうに。トロントの路面電車は何と言っても古い。古さを売りにするのも良いが、古い路面電車はお年寄りや子供、体の不自由な人が乗り降りを簡単にできるようになっては決してない。世界では低床の路面電車が走っているのに。カナダ唯一の乗り物屋（飛行機とか電車を作る日本のなんとか重工系の会社）ボンバルディエさえヨーロッパにそういう低床式LRTを作り品物を納めているではないか！トロントではなぜできないのか、いつまでたっても苛立たしい。９８年からトロントに住み始めて、８年経った今でも同じ古いストリートカーが走っている。なんだかなぁ。
