Tower of the Sun | 太陽の塔

This is an image of the Tower of the Sun in Exposition Memorial Park in Osaka. When I look for a real picture of the tower, my image is a little different from the real one.

Expo '70 was one of Japan's post-war big national projects – 6 years before I was born and 3 years before my sister was born. I have seen my parents' dating time photo in front of the park. It was the time I had never been able to be and I always wanted to exist.

I start to miss more and more of bits and pieces of Osaka. I even start to miss this weird tower (one of my favourite structures in Osaka). This is really heavy homesick? then. lol.

最近、懐古ネタが多すぎる様な気がします。僕のホームシック（そこまでひどくないねん）もここまで来たか。太陽の塔を恋しく思うようになって来た。今日太陽の塔をネットで調べてみた。写真もいくつか見たのに、その後に書いたスケッチがこれ。ぜんぜん似てないやん。大阪万博なんて所詮僕の生まれる６年前のことやし。生まれてもいないのに、その時代のエネルギーに憧れを抱くというのはどういうことか。

やっぱり大阪大好き。
