Because of the city's budget cut, a subway line in Toronto would be closed down for the operation.
It can't be.
Because the power of a municipal government in Canada is very weak, the city is suffering from its low-funded budget, that is hardly supported from higher level of the governments, to cover its services to its citizens, commuters from the satellite regions, and visitors from all over the world – in this size of the city.
It can't be.
A newspaper article suggested its citizens to get angry at the governments. Becoming a 'small' government doesn't mean that the government can ignore the issues and needs in each area and region in this country. We have been asking for help, but the 'small' government is leaving them as local problems.
Is that a right approach? I am fed up with beautiful words and plans that would hardly be able to be achieved.
We need to fund ourselves to get business keep running – investments and returns. It might be a good time to declare independence and become a Canada's first city province that I have read somewhere a few years ago.
Come on, we are really suffering.
