It's a long weekend in Japan, too.
It's National Health & Sports Day (celebrating the day when Tokyo Olympic was held in 1960s).
There were my nieces (younger and older ones).
They are playing Nintendo DS somewhere at my parents home.

My mom handed a phone to my younger niece.
"My mom went somewhere."
"When are you coming back?"
"It will probably be around next spring."
"It's still too late!"
I realised that my clock and my niece's clock are advancing in a different speed. For her, half a year is eternal.

Then, younger one handed a phone to the older one.
"I researched Canada in sociology class."
"Because I live in Canada?" – "yeah."
My niece was praised what she researched about Canada (aurora, animals, etc.) by her teacher.
"That's fantastic. I am glad and pround of you."
"I have a DS, too." – "Really? I am playing Pokémon. Do you know it?"
"I don't know it."
The conversation with her ended.

I told my mom that it's also a long weekend in Canada for Thanksgiving Day.
She told me that my dad bought a new set of TV.
They subscribe a cable TV, so they won't have any problems with 2011 TV airwave transitioning to digital.
They can surf on the net through the TV without having a computer.
According to my mom's descriptions about the TV, it sounded that the TV has way too many functions for my parents.
When I said to her, "Use the functions (of the TV) and don't make the TV sit useless."
She laughed on the phone.
I went to a place near where I live.
It's been nice Indian summer days in the whole weekend.
