I sometimes check the CBC Calgary site for the local news in Calgary. I saw this banner saying, "Alberta Centennial 2005."
"Centennial?" I start to think.
Alberta is only 100 years old after it is established??
In 1905, (I don't have a good memory to remember events in the history for exams anymore) in Japan, we were fighting against Russia in Siberia and trying to expand its imperialism in East Asia and around area.
Is the province that young?? No wonder why there are not many historical buildings in Calgary but spreaded Pleasantville houses and plazas :P
I am going to be a new pioneer to the West. lol
