Your Watch, My Watch

We have our own rythm and pace.

Some are extreamly punctual and some are just loose.

I'm not an extreamly punctual at all. I am sometimes on time or late for an appointment. Professionally, I always try not to be late and be 5 to 15 minutes ahead of an appointment time although I tend to be very loose on an appointment with my friends.

I was supposed to be picked up at 10:15pm tonight after I finished working. Work always follows with an uncertainty. I have made the person wait many times before because I had to work longer. I felt very sorry about the fact that I was late to leave from work without telling him who was coming to pick me up because I don't like to wait for anyone for long time without having a call to hear the reason.

Recently, I start to call him if I am late.

My habit to be late for an appointment always makes me have a cell phone in my pocket. I want to let my friends know if I am late. I want my friends to contact me if they are late. This simple communication avoids a lot of irritating time.

I wasn't mad. I was just irritated. I don't drive a car. I have to wait outside whether it is cold or snowing. I am tired from work. I want to go home as soon as possible. I can go home by myself if they get something else to do. I just want to be informed.

I think I am a quite patient person myself. I just couldn't stop complaining tonight because something wasn't fair at all. I really appreciate his efforts to come to pick me up, but I said that you don't have to do this if you are doing something else and please just tell me ahead.

If you tell me that you are going to pick me up at such and such time, please be there reasonably. If you get something else to do, please tell me ahead that you can't come pick me up.

Nowadays, we all have a cell phone. Isn't it an amazing thing?

It is so lame out here, but I have my feet and I have my pass to access the transit, so I can go home by myself.
