Visiting Me in Calgary

A friend of mine came to Calgary to visit me. She arrived from Tokyo on October 30. She stayed here for 2 days and left for Toronto today.

I showed her as many things I know about Calgary as possible. Since I don't drive and have classes, it was a bit challenge for me to show her everything.

First day, I showed her my school. I made her wait during my class hour, then we took a bus to Downtown from my school. I know only buses I take, so I didn't know where to get off to go to downtown. When I realised, the bus we were on was crossing the Bow River. I knew the bus went through the University of Calgary, so I suggested her that we could see the Olympic Oval on the campus. I hadn't been to the Olympic Oval, either. We got off at a bus stop on the UofC campus and started to explore. It was a big campus. They had a shopping arrey in a building. After university, we headed to downtown. I took her to the business buildings, a small chinatown (we had a lunch here), the Prince's Island Park, and TD square. We went to 17th Ave and had drinks there. Yes, we can do many things, but with lots of walking as well.

My feet got sore soon since I hadn't walked as much as I used to when I was in Toronto.

I was so glad that she came to visit me because I felt lonely and was tired of the same routines everyday. I could refresh my mind very much.
