今日はカナダ・デー。イギリスの植民地だったカナダがBritish North America Actで自治を獲得した日。当然、お休みで、カナダでは珍しい連休になりにくい祝日です。
香港にいる友人が香港では香港デーという祝日だと教えてくれました。香港が中国に返還された日でしょうか？
It's Canada Day today. July 1 is the day when Canada acquired autonomy from the Imperial Britain upon British North America Act. Of course, it is a holiday and the holiday doesn't make a long weekend depending on a year.
A friend of mine in Hong Kong told me that July 1 is Hong Kong Day in Hong Kong. Is it the day when Hong Kong was returned to China?
