松本人志さんしかり、中川家しかり、次長課長の河本さん（岡山出身だけど）しかり、他たくさん。
もちろん彼らはお笑いなので、どこまでが本当でどこからが誇張表現なのかわからない。
お笑いではなくても、関西ではおかんについての話のネタは尽きない。僕も自分のおかんについておもしろおかしく語る時がある。１００％バカにしているわけではない。その裏側にはおかんへの愛がある（と思う）。
例えば一昨日と昨日のおかんとの電話での会話において：
「もしもし、あ、寝てた？」―「うん、寝てた。」
「なんにも用事ないねんけど、電話してん。」―「うん。」
そして、おかんは尚も話し出そうとするので、「（電話かけてくれてありがたいねんけど）明日かけてくれへん？」
「寝てた？」の問に「うん」と答えているのだから、手短にしようぜ、おかん（笑）
そして昨日また電話をかけてくれた。父は福井の現場で働いていて、姉家族はバーベキューに行ったらしく、連休で１人なので暇らしい。
ひとしきり世間話をしてから、僕が「で、今日は何するん？」と問えば、「今晩、何作ろうかなぁ」とボケ（天然）をかます。「あのさ、僕が今お母さんの晩御飯のこと聞いてもしゃーないやん？今日はどっかに行くん？」と問い直す。
大阪のおかんというのは楽しい人たちなのだ。
Yoshimoto* comedians (especially from Kansai region) are very good at talking about their mothers. (*Yoshimoto Kogyo is the biggest talent agency in Japan, originated from Osaka.) For example, Hitoshi Matsumoto, Nakagawa-ke, Jicho-kacho's Komoto, and so on, they are one of those funniest ones. Of course, they are professional comedian. We don't know how real or how exaggerated the stories of their mothers are.
Even if you are not a comedian, people in Kansai tend to talk about their own mothers as a funny talk with friends. I, too, often speak about my own mother in funny way. We are not 100% totally making fun of them. I think there is a love to our mothers behind it.
For example, in the conversations on the phone with my mom yesterday and before yesterday:
"Hello? Oh, are you sleeping?" - "Yep, I am."
"Nothing particular but I just called (to say hello)." - "Okay."
And, she wanted to continue talking, so I stopped her by saying, "(Thank you for the call, but) can you call me tomorrow?"
For the question "Are you sleeping?," my answer was "Yes, I am." Please make the conversation brief, mom.
And then yesterday, she called me again. My dad is working at a site in Fukui prefecture and my sister's family went out to somewhere for BBQ-ing, so my mom was kinda bored herself on the long holidays in Japan.
We talked general stuff on the phone, and I asked my mom, "So, what are you doing today?"She answered, "Well, what should I cook tonight?" and I asked her again, "Mom, it doesn't matter what you will cook tonight. Are you going out to somwhere today?"
Okan (means mom in Osaka dialect) is the funniest in most of the families in Osaka.
