日本のように電波を介してテレビを受信しないカナダ。専らケーブルテレビで番組を視聴する。電波で見れないことはない（トロントのダウンタウン近辺のみ）が、画質は悪い。そんなカナダでも日本と同じ時期くらいにアナログ波は停止する。ケーブルが普及したカナダではワンセグ対応の機器は売られていない。人はネットを介してもっとテレビ番組を視聴するようになるだろう、か。

僕はテレビを持っていない。

さて、アメリカのFoxで放映されている新番組、カナダではGlobalで放映されている、「Glee」が好きになってきた。この秋からスタートした新番組だ。音楽のチョイスといい、サウンドトラックといい、痛快なコメディーといい、キャストといい、キャラクター設定といい、（今のところ）話の流れといい、ご機嫌な番組である。日本語版が出たとして、どれだけ楽しめるかはさておき（お笑いは言葉の壁がとてつもなく厚い）、機会があればぜひどうぞ。


Unlike Japan, TV shows can't be watched via air. Usually, we watch the TV through cable. It's possible to watch via air (only in downtown area of Toronto), but the quality is bad. In Canada, though, analog signals for TV will stop about the same time in Japan. Cable TV has been common for long time in Canada. There are no devices for One Seg sold in Canada. People would soon watch TV shows through the Internet more often, or not?

I don't have a TV myself.

I am becoming to like "Glee" that is played on Fox in the US and on Global in Canada. This is a new TV show that has started this autumn. This show is a good one – choice of music, soundtrack, funny comedy, casting, characters in the show, speed and story (at least now) – everything is good. If they translate in Japanese for Japanese version, putting how much you can laugh with Japanese subtitles aside (the wall of language is very thick when it comes to comedy), please watch once when you have a chance.
