未来の生活 | Living in the Future

小さい頃に読んだ本や漫画、見ていたアニメには未来想像図がたくさんあった。夢の技術から世界の終末論まで。
夢の技術は着実に商品化され、携帯電話など比較的安価で世界の多くの人が使用できる技術も出てきた。テレビ電話は「わざわざ顔見て話さんでもええやろ」という感じで一家に一台とはいっていない。が、複合的な機械として、通信にも使えるコンピュータはもはや家電の一つとなった。
ゴルゴ１３のような劇画タッチで描かれていた世界の終わり。
どれもこれも僕らの未来の想像図だった。

２２世紀の未来想像図もそろそろ創り出してもいいんじゃないかと思う。
それは２０世紀に想像された２１世紀の想像図より悲しいお知らせが多いかもしれない、でも新しい世界は未来に絶対拓かれるべきことだから。


There were many image map of the future world in books and comics I read and animations I watched when I was small – from dream technologies to doomsday.

In this present time, some of the dream technologies became real goods. We got a technology like cell phone that is relatively affordable and many people around the world use. Video phone was something that didn’t really match our common lifestyle in the world – there is no urgent need to talk to a person by facing through screens over the wire. However, we have a personal computer that can do multitask and can be used as a communication tool including video phone and a personal computer became one of our quasi-essential home electronics.

Including “Golgo 13” like illustrations of a doomsday, this and that are our dream maps of the future.

I think it’s about the time to create dream maps of the 22nd century. These dream maps may not be able to be as optimistic as dream maps of the 21st century that were created in the 20th century, but our new future always has to be created and imagined in any ways.
