I borrowed a DVD, "Kurobe no Taiyo" (The Sun in Kurobe). It is a drama based on a true story of making a hydro power plant in mountains in central Japan. Because it is a drama, there are so many dramatizations. It is a good drama to learn how people in Japan managed themselves to get out of energy crisis in the post war era. I didn't know that the fact that Osaka had so many blackouts in the Showa 30s.
There were a power company who wants to make a new dam and power plant, construction companies, sub-contaractors, and actual construction workers.
It was a good drama that we could study how we got power and light.
There were reflections of Japanese citizens that were abused and betrayed by the pre war Fascist government.
Ultimately, "it was not for the country, but for the electricity needs, to light the bright future of children, and to achieve a project and make it the best..."
It's extremely hard to construct a new tunnel.
