Cherry Blossoms

Spring seems to be arriving in Japan. A friend of mine posted a picture of cherry blossoms on her blog. They are very beautiful and one of my favourite flowers.

There's a reason why most of Japanese people like cherry blossoms. It is because the spring season (March/April) is the time when a school year ends and a new school year starts. After graduations from a highschool, a college, or a university, some people starts to move for their new life in bigger cities or for jobs they get. There are always cherry blossoms in our departures and arrivals.

One of my neices will be entering an elementary school in April. Adults in close family usually give a new student a gift or two. I don't want to be a bad uncle. Although I don't have much money, I will try to find something for her to send.

There's is a reason why I am becoming kind of homesick. I postponed my travel to going back home in Japan because of the price of airfare. Yep, it is high-season and the summer will start. In my initial plan, I would stay in Japan for two months or so to relax with my family and friends and to work temporarily. I don't know when I go back next time though, sometimes next year, maybe... Well, not to be over worried, things will work out somehow.

So, I will be in Toronto this summer. I need to get a job and hopefully I can continue the job after school starts. I hope this year's summer in Toronto as hot as last year's!

Summer sucked in Toronto last year (!), but we're happy to have you here this year. Sorry you won't be going home to visit with your family and friends.

Japan gets cherry blossoms, as does NYC and DC. Atlanta gets magnolias. Ottawa gets tulips. Toronto gets a tree that when it seeds in late spring smells like splooge!

yes but the cum-tree is best. you walk through the city in may/june and it smells like when you have sex and some hot guy has just cum on your chest, and you came too... god i love that tree.
