教授が町にやってくる | Kyoju Is Coming to the City

教授を初めて知ったのはいつだろうか。
多分、１０数年前の、ダウンタウンがゲイシャ・ガールズになるべく、ニューヨークに行った特番のテレビを見た頃だろうか。その特番にはテイ・トウワもちらっと出ていたと思う。

そう、教授とは坂本龍一さんのこと。坂本さんはメディア上で教授と呼ばれているけれど、ハードコアなファンではないので、僕はその所以を知らない。

１０月に教授がトロントにやってくる。
カナダでは３大都市（バンクーバー、モントリオール、トロント）でコンサートが行なわれるので、カナダに住むものにとってはラッキーだ。

友人を誘ってコンサートに行くことになった。
とっても楽しみである。


How long ago was it when I knew Ryuichi Sakamoto (a.k.a Kyoju (means professor in Japanese)) the first time?
I think it was in the TV show that Downtown (a Japanese comedian duo) went to New York to sing a song as Geisha Girls. This was 10 some years ago. I think Towa Tei was in the show briefly as well.

I am not a hardcore fan of Ryuichi Sakamoto, so I don't know the reason why he is called Kyoju.

He is actually coming to Toronto this October.
He will have a concert in the 3 major cities in Canada (Vancouver, Montreal & Toronto). It is very fortunate for residents of Canada then.

I asked my friend to come to the concert with me.
I am so much looking forward to it!
