偽、桃太郎 | Fake, Momotaro

日本では、「桃太郎」という完熟トマトをスーパーで容易く買う事ができると思う。

そんなトマトに塩を少々ふっただけのつまみでビールを飲む、僕の親父。

親父の脇でそのつまみを食べる僕。

僕が小学生の時の夏の日曜日の夕食時、ちょうどサザエさんの声が聞こえてくる時間帯。

カナダで生活していて、そんなトマトがとても恋しくなる時がある。

そんな時にこの「Sweet Cocktail」（Loblaws系のスーパーで買える（はず））！

初めて食したのは友人の家だったと思う。

カナダでもこんなに甘いトマトが食べられるなんて！

I think people in Japan can buy "Momotaro" tomatoes easily at any supermarkets.

In my memory, there was my dad who was drinking beer with eating slices of the Momotaro tomatoes with a little salt on them and there was myself who stole some slices beside him.

This is a memory of a supper time of my childhood in a summer Sunday – when we can hear the voice of Sazae-san (Japanese long-run TV cartoon show that is broadcasted nationwide every Sunday evening).

I sometimes miss those tomatoes while living in Canada.

Well, I found an alternative, though! Try "Sweet Cocktail" tomatoes that are available at any Loblaws supermarkets!

I think it was at my friend's place when I eat this tomato first time.

What a nice thing, is it, that we can eat such a sweet tomato in Canada as well!
