Artsy

There are many creative people around me. Some of them are very successful with what they are doing for their artistic professions.

How to be a successful commercial artist? – the answer is... I don't know.

Once I wanted to be an artist. It is quite hard to feed myself only by being an artist.

I am pursuing a totally different thing now, but I start to have this idea of getting involved with some media of art again lately. Not that I want to sustain my life only with being an artist, but it would be nice if it could be an extended version of my hobbies.

It's been quite long time since I had serious drawings on my sketch book.

I want to restart my rusty engine remained in deep part of my mind. Fuels for the engine – could be found in somewhere in the city, hopefully.

How can you sustain yourself without art, is the question I'd ask!

Yes, please. Start your artisitc pursuits again, fill a sketchbook or two. Go watch the spring swollen river wind through the downtown, or maybe sit at the entrance to Princess Island Park and watch all the people go by, or watch the big hard asses in lycra practicing speedskating on the Olympic oval at UofC...

How exciting that your sketchbook is calling you back into its pages.

Don't lie! You did some art... you designed my "tetsuwan" Tattoo a few months ago :-)

Seriously, I know how you feel... once in a while the urge to create art resurfaces...

Maybe you can do some art that bridges between your old and new career... toy design? children's book illustration, interactive computer games for little kiddies...

Take care... get ready for your return to civilization...
