IKEA, Vaughn Mills & T&T | イケアとヴォーン・ミルズとT&T

M was in town again this weekend. He rented a car from the airport, so I asked him to take me to do some shopping. Since I need to buy something at IKEA and T&T, I suggested to go to Vaughn that is located north of Toronto. Vaughn has everything I needed. A new IKEA location beside Highway 400 and T&T in Thornhill. Since we went to Vaughn, I wanted to see a new shopping mall, called Vaughn Mills. It was such a huge mall. We had such a fun time at Holt Renfrew Last Call (Holt Renfrew's outlet store)! For those who haven't been to the store, you must see!!! $1000.00-regular-price for a pair of ugly who-is-going-to-wear jeans is only $400.00 or less! Yeah, yeah, they are name brands or whatever (I won't name the brand name for the ugly pants). It is just fun to look around the ugliness left in Holt Renfrew's collections in the suburb shopping mall. I liked a store in the shopping mall that is probably chinese owned and has lots of Japanese-dollor-sotre-like crap. Most of the stuff they are selling is probably for only Japanese market because I didn't see English or Chinese product description in packages. I bought a pen case that was simple and cheap that can't be found in any other Canadian businesses in Toronto. It was a happy shopping day.

東方の超ど田舎（Rogersの携帯電波なし）での仕事を終え、Mはトロントにまた立ち寄ってくれた。今回はレンタカーをしたので、（前から言っていたのだが）そのレンタカーで買い物に連れて行ってもらった。イケア（日本の発音はこれで言いと思う）とT&T（台湾系のスーパー）で買う物があって、それらが比較的便利に立地しているヴォーンというトロントの北の郊外に連れて行ってもらった。イケアでは日本進出もあってかパッケージに日本語が目立つようになった。実際の買い物経路は前後するが、ついでなので前から行ってみたかった新しいショッピングモール、ヴォーン・ミルズにも連れて行ってもらった。ホルト・レンフルー（カナダの高級？デパート）のアウトレットショップ、その名も「Last Call（ラスト・コール」（笑）が存在し、Mと僕は興奮とともに入店！するが１０秒もたたず笑いの種に化す。こんな物が１０００ドル（約１０万円）で売られていて、ここではなんと４００ドル（約４万円）！なんてお得！着る気さえ起こさせない物がお得な値段で売られていて、Mとともに大笑い。冷やかしには最高だとミルトン在住の（近頃落ち着き過ぎてるんちゃう）Sさんに伝えたい。

ああ、ショッピング。ホルト・レンフルーのビジネスが成り立つほどカナダに住む金持ちは趣味が悪すぎるのだろうか。
