トロントで「ウェストエンド」と言うと、人により定義がまちまち。A「ウェストエンド？ じゃ、ミシサガかエトビコでしょ？」
B「ブロア・ウェスト・ビレッジの辺り？ ラニーミードの方の？」
C「ハイパークに近いねぇ？」
僕が「どこに住んでいるの？」と聞かれた時は「ウェストエンド」と答えて近くの交差点の名前も添える。
今年に入って、僕の住むエリアの近辺に、新しい名前が付けられた。
ジャンクション・トライアングル。
個人的には音が長過ぎるので、僕はあまり使用しないと思われる（僕は違う名前に投票した）。
もうちょっと商店などができて欲しい地域だが、ランズダウンの駅の近くには、インドカレーのテイクアウトと朝食屋が、シミントンxブロアの近くにはカフェが最近オープンした。
「The west end is rising again?」だろうか。
If you say "the west end" in Toronto, the definitions of it would vary depending on who you speak with.
A: "The west end? is it Mississauga or Etobicoke?"
B: "Is it in the direction of Bloor West Village?... close to Runnymede?"
C: "It's near High Park, isn't it?"
When I am asked where I live, I answer that I live in the west end and tell the closest intersection.
This year, my neighbourhood and the around area got a new name.
Junction Triangle.
Personally, I will not use this name because the word is too long (I voted for a different name).
I want more stores and businesses in this neighbourhood. Actually, we got a new East Indian curry take-out place, a new breakfast place near Lansdowne station and we got a new cafe near Symington/Bloor.
Is it "the west end is rising again"?
