電気がなきゃ今の僕らの生活はやってられない。

人間は世界中に巨大な発電機をたくさんこしらえ、必要な電気を得てきた。

火力であれ、水力であれ、原発であれ、タービンを回して発電するのには変わりがないらしい。
模型のモーターを逆回転させると、豆電球が光るのだ！

福島の原発が地震と津波による事故で未だ危険な状態である。
この事故で、僕は初めて原発がすぐに機能を停止させられない、と知る。
シャットダウンをするのにも電気が必要でシャットダウンされた後も燃料を電気の力で冷やす必要があるなんて！

日本は３割の電力を原子力に頼っているそうだ。
原子力の代替エネルギーなんてあるんだろうか。

後は、２０世紀から続く大量消費経済を改める、のみ？

We created many huge generators around the world to get enough electricity for our life.

Whether it is fire power, hydro power, or nuclear power, there is no change to generate electricy with turbine.
If you rotate a model motor negatively, you can light a miniature bulb!

Nuclear power plants in Fukushima is still in a dangerous state because of the quakes and tsunami.
Because of this accident, I learned that a nuclear power plant can't be shut down immediately first time.
We need electricity to shut the plant down and we need electricity to keep the nuclear fuel cool all the time!

Japan relies on nuclear power plants for 30% of the entire energy that Japan is currently using.
I wonder if there are any other ways to replace nuclear power plants.

Well, the last resort is to stop our mass-consumption society that has been continuing from the last century. Is this the only way?
