Last Saturday, J and I went to Riverdale Park to swim again. We were at my apartment and I had a little sense of adventure then, so I suggested to take a different route to get from Eglinton station to Broadview station that is a nearby station for Riverdale Park. This ended up with a bad decision, but I personally think that this route is recommended only if you want to see last-century-modern, cutting-edge, city planning of Toronto (or East York? back then). It is too bad that there is no architecture that can be monumental for the city development, but you may start to realise that buildings resembles the architecture around the world in 60's and 70's. Passengers of this bus can be combining crowds of different socioeconomic backgrounds. If you have time to ride, take one and enjoy your ride! Additionally, if you are visiting Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre, this bus is the most convenient one.

先週の土曜日、Jと僕はまたリバーデールパークのプールに泳ぎに行った。僕のアパートにいた事とちょっとした僕の冒険心から、違うルートでエグリントン駅から公園に近いブロードビュー駅まで行こうと提案した。このアイデアは最終的には良くない結果となるのだが、もし、ラスト・センチュリー・モダンで、先進的なトロント（その当時はイーストヨークか？）の都市計画個人的にお薦めしたいバス路線だと思っている。その都市開発のモニュメントになるような建築物は残念ながら無いが、建築物の多くが世界のそこいらにある60年代や70年代の建築物と似ている事に気が付くだろう。このバスの乗客といえば、様々な社会経済的な背景からの人々となっている。お時間がある方はぜひどうぞ。ちなみに、日系文化会館へ行かれる方はこのバスが一番便利だと思います。
