The War Had Ended 67 Years Ago | 戦争は67年前に終わってる

Japan is currently having issues over disputed islands with 3 countries – China, Russia, and South Korea. The sea around the each island is very rich for fishing and there may be resources for energy (such as natural gas) in the area.

South Korea is claiming an island in Japan Sea (East Sea) that it belongs to South Korea. Because of South Korea's nature of strong patriotism, South Korean politicians often use this disputed island to appeal and political performance to their voters.

It's not easy for the 2 countries to start to talk over the table because both sides are just claiming on the territory without academically researching the history of the both countries.

Tomorrow is Anniversary of the End of the War (WWII). This is how Japan called the day. In South Korea, it's a victory day over wartime Japanese colonisation era.

The war had ended 67 years ago. I hope that both countries become more creative and constructive.


現在、日本は三ヶ国との間に領土問題を抱えている。中国とロシアと韓国。領土問題になっている各島の海洋は漁獲が豊富であり、天然ガス等の資源があるかもしれない地域になっている。

韓国は日本海（韓国名・東海）にある島を自国の領土であると主張している。強い愛国主義である韓国の性質上、韓国の政治家は、この領土問題下にある島を有権者へのアピールとして、よく利用する。

両国同時に学術的な両国の歴史検証がなされぬまま、自国領土であると主張しているだけなので、両国にとって合議を始める事が容易ではない。

明日は終戦記念日である。終戦記念日というのが日本の呼び名である。韓国では、戦時の日本統治下時代からの解放・勝利の日なのである。

戦争は67年前に終わったのだ。両国がもっと創造性に富み建設的にある様に望む。
